Live Loved!!

It's snowing and cold here in the 20's. Tonight is our Life Group from church at 7pm where people from church come over to review last Sunday's sermon, worship and pray. I need to prepare two worship songs and type up lyrics and clean the downstairs to be prepared.

But I love the book my son gave me for Christmas "Uninvited" by Lysa TerKeurst and I can't stop reading it. I need to get priorities in place for tonight!

The author Lysa TerKeurst writes from her feeling of rejection, grieved from the deep loss of a relationship, her dad, that was there one day and gone the next, and how she finds the gift from God.

Here are my nuggets, some lines that touched me, from just the first three chapters! (This book reminds me of the songs the Lord inspired me “Do I Love You First” and “With My All” and it inspires me to write new songs!

I hope you enjoy these quotes. Its a great book!

"The mind feasts on what it focuses on. If you want to know what a persons' focus and feast is, all you have to do is listen to the words that come out of her mouth.

Live from the abundant place that you are loved and you won't find yourself begging others for scrapes of love. Live loved! It’s hard to live something you sometimes don’t feel. It's easy to live loved when I feel loved. No soul can soar to the place of living loved when it’s a performance-based endeavor. Living loved is sourced in your quiet daily surrender to the One who made you. I was doing many things with God but not really spending time getting refilled by God and His abundant love at all. I was saying I was connecting with Him but in all honesty, I was letting the world stir my deep affections. I’d say, I put God first in my life, but give all my first moments of each day to checking my text messages rather than checking with His messages.

Psalm 91 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty". When we abide, delight, and dwell in Him, He then places within us desires that line up with His best desire for us. He can promise us stability, because we’re tapped into His consistent power.

Mark 3:14-15 When Jesus appointed the apostles to preach and drive out demons the first part of their calling was to be with Him. Fullness comes to us when we remember to be with Him before going out to serve Him. He wants our hearts to be in alignment with Him before our hands set out today’s assignment for Him. So He extends what we need and invites us each day to receive (from His spirit) in prayer, worship and truth from His Word. Fix your eyes not on a worldly prize but on staying in love with Me. I was created by God, who formed me because He so much loved the very thought of me. When I was nothing, He saw something and declared it is good. Very good. And very loved.

Therefore I bring the atmosphere of love into every situation I face. I'm not tempted to flirt with the world, hoping for approval because I have the real thing with God. And I’m not nearly as likely to fall into perceiving rejection that isn’t really there, or listen to lies, because I’m not starving for affection.

I am loved. This should be the genius thought of every day.

God's love isn't based on me. It's simply placed on me. And it's the place from which I should live....loved."

Michele's First Album from 1985 - "Higher Than Mine"

I'm very thankful that my first album (from a very long time ago!) is available now for purchase on iTunes and other digital retailers! These are the very first songs I wrote after meeting Jesus many years ago.

These songs are very special to me as they were written shortly after I committed to make Jesus Lord of my life. Computers, Face book and Instagram were never in my view when I was writing these songs.

It is so easy to get caught up in the activities and frustrations of each day. It’s then I recall how He told me many years ago in a Bible Study, on John 9, Jesus healing the blind, which inspired me to tears, “If you would just concentrate on song writing I’ll take care of the rest”. I have tried to do that but it is not always easy. I pray to obey Him and continue to overflow songs and don't let the distractions, business and responsibilities of this world take away the opportunity to hear His voice!

I need to get a renewed first love in Him like I had in the 80’s where I always wrote songs from His word. His promise is a reminder to obey Him and allow His word and truth to stay in my heart and mind though life’s many distractions. I pray to make it my aim to please and glorify Him!

I hope you enjoy these songs and they draw you closer to renewing your first love in Jesus!

Here is my first song “Lord I Pray ‘Hallelujah” And the video on this special song "Final Victory" written by Dave Fullen who produced my first album.

Hallelujah (Lord I Pray)

By Michele Wagner

Verse 1

Lord I pray, I build upon You every day

Many blocks of righteousness

And oh dear Lord I pray I seek You first in every way

So I may grow in Your strength

I just want to say that I believe in You

I know sometimes I don’t really want to

But I can’t deny that Your truth is real

No matter how I feel and I’ll sing

Hallelujah to my King oh I’ll keep on singing

Hallelujah to my King

Verse 2

Holding on to all these troubles on my mind

I try to deal with them all myself

But now I see why You came to earth to die for me

You paid the price for my misery

Repeat Chorus to End

Here is the video of the powerful song 'Final Victory" my producer Dave Fullen wrote and asked me to sing on. i pray this song encourages you!

In Him, victory is certain.

I'm enjoying my Bible Study in Romans this year. Here are some of my Nuggets from my BSF Lesson Romans 7! Romans 7:24-25a “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” The Holy Spirit regenerates those Jesus Christ redeems! God has made us New – but in this earthy life, sin still attracts our flesh. But thank God we know the one who has won the battle! In Him victory is certain. We cannot be Christ-like by trying harder. Instead we must depend on His victory, pour our feelings and frustrations to God and ask Him to rescue you. Say no to sin and Yes to God. Take courage! God’s way to fruitful life and joy begins with knowledge of God and painful knowledge of yourself but in Him the victory is certain! Thank God we know the one who has won the battle! He is with us and He will rescue us, wipe away every tear from our eyes. We will have joy and praise Him forever Revelation 7:9-17…. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, the Lamb will be their shepherd, and He will guide them to living water and wipe away every tear from their eyes! Take full advantage of the weapons God has made available to us – prayer, Bible study, Christian fellowship, worship, and service to others. The struggle with sin is hard but good! The struggle leads us to deeper fellowship with Jesus as we lean on Him as the solution to our brokenness. Take full advantage of the weapons God has made available to us – prayer, Bible study, Christian fellowship, worship, and service to others. This keeps our eyes in Him not ourselves. So don’t try to hide your sin. Confess your sin to God who forgives us and works in us to make us more like His beautiful Son!
