My Intercessor’s love

After reading these veses from my bible study in John this song “My Intercessor” came to mind to play and worship.

There are so many verses that speak of our Lord Jesus Christ who is our Intessessor who know all our weaknesses and loves us unconditionally.

Here are the bible passages that touched my heart today.

Hebrews 4: 15-16 “We have a high preist, Jesus, who is able to empathize with our weaknessses for he has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet he did not sin. How wonderful that we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence so we may receive mercy and find grace in time of need.

I pray if you are feeling afraid, pressured in your life, feel hopeless, that you draw near to God, pour out your concernes to him and allow him to love and help you.

He loves you so much for you are his precius child, his treasured possession! You can read this promise here - Dueterronmy 7:6

I am so grateful my Heavenly Father allowed Jesus to come to earth for me to die in my place to take away my sin to give me a new chance, a restored life now and forevermore. Now with with Jesus in my heart I have joy, peace, assurance, and hope!

I pray as you listen to this song “My Intercessor” you apprecaite the love and sacrrifice our Lord Jesus has given for us. He longs to meet our needs and loves us so much! John 17:11 is another special promise. “We are protected by the evil one safe by the name of Jesus, sanctified by the word. And His word is truth. - (our true, fulfulling, lasting food!)

God bless you. I hope you enjoy listening to this song My Inteccessor | Listen (MP3)

My Intercessor

By Michele Wagner & Dwight Lilies

Verse 1

He sees the heart within me
That no one else can see
He hears the prayers I sometimes find no words for
He knows my inner weakness my doubting and my fears When other loves are distant, He is near.
My Intercessor, He loves me as I am
My Intercessor, He’ll always be my friend
No matter what I’ve done or what I’ve not become My Intercessor, He loves me as I am
Loves me as I am
Verse 2
Oh He comforts me completely like no one else can do He takes my every need before the Father
I pour my tears before Him. They’re treasures in His hands He holds my heart and truly understands.
Oh His merciful forgiveness brings me to my knees His freedom and His strength lift up and carry me.
My Intercessor, He loves me as I am. Jesus my Savior He loves me as I am oh He loves me as I am.
Oh He loves me as I am.

Abide In Christ - from Joshua 1:9, John 15

Our Sunday’s sermon, on Being A Risk Taker really touched my heart and impacted my life! Pastor Joe Valenti spoke from Joshua 1:9 and John 15 at my church, Cuyahoga Valley, February 27th.

He said it's important to be a people committed to God's Word and be confident in God's promises. We should Look to God, not yourself because He is with you and will never leave you.

We can be empowered in God's presence. So do you trust the power of God's presence for your life? Be confident in God. He yields His power on His behalf. The Holy Spirit is our fuel to impact our lives and the world. Don't focus on yourself, be confident on your looks, for you are His. beloved child. Be confident in your abilities. If we’re self-focused, we’re not God focused. Look to God; Stand firm on the promises of God.

As we sink in God's Word we'll be transformed and naturally want to be obedient.

As we seek Him we will find Him. If we're spending time in God's Word we don't have to pray to God about every little thing we do. Don't over spiritualize.

We'll be confident and we will know what God is calling us to do. Be a people committed to God's Word, willing to do Bible studies and seek Him with all our hearts. Then we will make decisions and move forward, as we get godly advice. Stop overthinking. If we're not empowered by the Holy Spirit then we're wasting our time.

Jesus is the ultimate risk taker. He opened Himself up to sin.

The greatest risk in your life is to follow Jesus!

Precious memories of Jonathan David Brown

I recently received some very sad news. I learned that my special friend, and gifted engineer and producer, singer, songwriter Jonathon David Brown had passed away. I met Jonathon shortly after I moved to Nashville in the 80’s where I was a songwriter at Meadow Green Music. I gave him a cassette of some of my new songs and he liked them. He really liked my song “Love’s On the Other Side”. I was walking along the side of the road and he pulled up in his car and I could hear him whistling the melody while looking and smiling at me. He was such an encouraging person and he believed in my songs. He helped me a get a record contract with Benson Music where he produced my first album.

Jonathan’s recording skills would always make my voice sound great and he once told me, “he could record my voice on the highway and it would sound great”. Every song he produced was played on the radio station.

He also believed in my piano playing skills and asked me to play in the studio on my first album. He gave me the confidence to play and record piano.

While laying down the vocals to the songs, he would have me sing several takes and he would ultimately mix them into one final, beautiful vocal. I remember one time, while singing the vocal on the song ‘Whatever You Ask” he said the song needed a bridge. He wasn’t afraid to speak what he heard from his heart and that’s what made him such a great producer. He was right, and right away I heard a bridge and lyrics. I was inspired to write this and then he recorded me singing the vocals on this bridge which he later mixed into the final song.

He was a joy to work with and he made recording music fun. He had a little trick he used to play, he wouldn’t tell me when he was recording so I had no time to get nervous. He added beautiful harmonies on “Simple Devoted and True”, “Whatever Is Lovely” and so many other songs.

He surprised me one time when he brought in Bob Carlyle to sing background vocals on the song “Jesus Answers”. After the singing was completed, Jonathan mixed his vocal takes into a final beautiful song. What a powerful. passionate surprise that was!

Four years ago, in 2014, while traveling near Ohio he called me to see if I had any songs to record? I told him “Yes, I did”, that I had two new ones and one to mix my vocals on and that I’d like to combine then into a new album, “Blind Now I See”. He stopped by my house and recorded these two songs “Looking Forward” and “Perfect Timing” plus he mixed my vocal on my new song “Blind Now I See”. Here is the link to the video of the song, “Looking Forward”. He helped me achieve my goal of creating an album with nine new worship songs on it.

Though I am sad I can’t see Jonathan David Brown right now, I still recall the happy times and wonderful memories of being in the recording studio with him and I look forward to worshiping and dancing with him again in Heaven!

Thank you Jonathan for sharing your skills and for your beautiful musical works, your friendship in Christ and for whom you are in your Heavenly Father. I pray we all keep looking forward to Him and the joyous celebration we will realize when one day we are all together in heaven with Christ.
